RENT OUR SPACE
The Marcus Garvey Multi - Purpose Room and / or Blackroom is a small event space located at the Dare Academy. The space holds 75 - 80 people comfortably. Pricing includes 4 hour events, 2 hour setup, 1 hour breakdown, 10 tables and 60 chars, (extra tables and chairs are an additional fee. A $150 security deposit is due to secure event date. Deposit will be returned after after event is over and clean - up checklist is satisfied.
EVENT TIME SLOTS are 1pm- 5pm or 9pm - 1am
Sunday - Saturday
** Time slots can be adjusted per availability. Custom request may require an extra fee. Your event date will only be secured upon payment of the $150 security deposit. Dates remain available until deposit is pad ( no exceptions.) Partial payments are accepted, however the full balance must be paid one week prior to event. Failure to make full payment will result in cancellation of your event and lost of any partial payments.

For the Marcus Garvey Multi Purpose Room the bathrooms are located in a separate wing from the event space.

Speakers, television, projectors & wifi passwords are available for an additional fee.

All event invitations will need to be reviewed & approved by the rental director. Please do not mention alcoholic beverages or adult activities on promotional flyers.

We are a family friendly campus with a plethora of programs for youth and families, Please inform your guest to act accordingly during business hours and please refrain from speeding through the parking lot. There should be no open bottles or smoking of any kind in the parking lot or common areas of the campus.
